SpicyIP is delighted to announce the Franklin Pierce Centre for Intellectual Property Essay Competition, 2013 conducted by the University of New Hampshire School of Law, Concord USA in association with the School of Law, Raffles University, Neemrana, Rajasthan. The competition aims to encourage research in emerging areas in the field of intellectual property law. The competition is open to law students of Indian sub-continent (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan). Co-authorship is permitted.

- The antitrust and IP principles protect and encourage competition, innovation, and economic growth
- Patent-Eligible Matter after Mayo v/s Prometheus Case in the U.S.
- ITC-Tea Board “Darjeeling” Litigation: Geographical Indications v/s Trademarks
- Access to Information is a driver of Innovation
- Fair Use under Copyright Law and recent developments
Prizes:
- First: Full tuition waiver for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute at Concord, New Hampshire and a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 (INR)
- Second: Fifty percent tuition waiver for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute at Concord, New Hampshire & Cash Prize of Rs. 15,000 (INR)
- Third: Fifty percent tuition waiver for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute at Concord, New Hampshire & Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000 (INR)
